Photography lighting tips video blog - Professional Leigh on sea photographersPROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY TIPSI've been meaning to get some photography lighting tips video blogs together and finally got my first one done and dusted, I had singer/song writer Tasita D'Mor booked in for an album cover photo-shoot and thought it would be a great shoot to video. I specialize in modern contemporary portraits and photograph a lots of singers, artists, athletes etc. As well as the album cover Tasita wanted some more photos to boost her portfolio so as you'll see in the video we use a range of photographic and lighting techniques and show with lighting and camera setting diagrams as well as before and after photo's on how we created the final professional images. I often use Old Leigh as a location for my photo shoots but used a quirky little bar in Southend on sea called 'the Old Hat' for this one which worked out well for the style of images I was looking for, I'm always looking for that little something to add to my photography and hope the video blogs will help add something to others as well.. I first set the camera to the ambient light then light the subject (Tasita D'Mor) with a grided beauty dish to stop the light from spilling and killing of all the ambient lighting.. Then a bit of cloning and adjustment layers in photoshop to finish. I hope to be adding some photoshop tutorial video in the next month or so, so if creative portrait photography is you thing then watch this space..
Hopefully now I've got started with the video lighting tips blog I can put some more together over the next few months so if you find them of interest please share and subscribe to the youtube and vimeo channels, photo shop editing tips videos are next on my list so watch this space...
